Frost protection with heating belts AquaForte Mr. Perfect heat pumps are protected with 2 heating belts s to prevent cold temperature damage to the heat pump. - Protection of the compressor. Activated at an ambient temperature of +/- 8°C if the compressor is switched off at that time. The heating belt will turn off again if the compressor turns on or if the ambient temperature exceeds +/- 8°C again. - Evaporator protection. This allows the melt water to drain better, preventing ice formation around the heat pump. It also speeds up the defrost function. Activated if the compressor has been running continuously for 20 minutes and the outside temperature is +/- 0°C in heating mode. Activated during operation of the defrost function. The heating belt switches off again when the temperature rises above this value again.
The heat exchanger is also protected against frost. If the entering water temperature is 2°C and the ambient temperature is 0°C, the heat pump will automatically start in heating mode. If the water temperature is 15°C or the ambient temperature is 1°C, the heat pump will go back into standby mode. This function only works if the heat pump has electrical power and the pool pump is also providing flow. If there is no flow through the heat pump, then an E3 message will appear and the heat pump will shut down. Therefore, as protection against frost damage to the heat exchanger, it is imperative that the heat pump always has flow when there is frost.
AquaForte Mr. Perfect heat pumps are equipped with a modern touchscreen and is standard equipped with a WiFi module that allows the heat pump to be operated remotely through an App (iOs & Android). The AquaForte Mr. Perfect draws its air through the rear of the heat pump. The cold air is blown out at the sides. The AquaForte Mr. Perfect has a special connection for connection to an external controller (Astral Elite / Sugar Valley). The controller gives a signal to the heat pump with which it is activated and deactivated. This keeps the heat pump energized at all times, so that the heat pump can always cool down.
