Each ball is packed with beneficial bacteria that help stabilize ammonia and nitrite levels, keeping your pond clean and healthy. These balls gradually biodegrade as the bacteria are utilized. Place the balls directly into your filter media, preferably in a small net bag. They can also be positioned between sponges or matting. For pressurized or bead filters, simply empty the tub's contents directly into the filter.
With the added sludge control, regular use of these balls helps keep pipework clean and breaks down detritus in the pond. Replace the balls when they shrink, as this indicates that the bacteria have migrated into the water.
